So do you remember last week when I told you about the Obedient Child? Well this week we met his twin, Honest Child. Sister A started talking with an adorable family and gave the mom a card. We then went to an appt and on our way back, we ran into the family again. The little boy sees us and blurts out ‘hey! mommy threw your number away.’ Ouch. haha, kids say the darndest things!
Actually, kids aren’t the only ones to say the darndest things though. Last Monday we ate at a floating cafe and then went to the Berlin wall East Side Gallery. There was a lot of construction so I asked Sister A what she thought was being built. Without hesitation she said ‘Probably the new Berlin Wall.’Haha, that’s my girl!
That Monday was just the start to an adventurous week. We went to a giant apartment building and began working our way through it’s 20 floors of people in need of the gospel. At one door a guy answered and upon finding out we were americans, started showing us videos of him boxing in hopes that we could somehow make him famous in America?! He then wanted to add us on Facebook, but couldn’t find any Sister Helzer….phew! But it’s okay, because he gave us Banana Juice. (this all happened in a 5 minute doorstep interaction by the way.)
A talked with a nice peruvian man at the door but he didn’t have any interest so we gave him a card and told him to check out the website. We continued dooring that floor and just as we were about to leave to the next floor, the peruvian man answered his door and motioned for us to come back. He said he had gone on the website and wanted to know more about our church. Life’s little victories!!!
In other random news, the other sisters teach a blind man but we are fairly certain that he’s not actually blind! He reads bus numbers and can text and one time told us all about a bread of dog that was on the other side of the street. It reminded me of a Monk episode where someone pretends to be blind so everyone thinks they can’t be the murderer….except this man would never hurt a fly so not sure why he wants to be blind.
Well those are just some of the crazy adventures this cool cat is up to! Tell me about your spring break adventures. There is always adventure to be found!
xoxo,
sister helzer
Ahhh! I forgot to add this to my blog post. Papa Helzer sent me this last week and I’ve been thinking about it a l l week.

biking adventures. sometimes the lane runs out and you are stuck in a grass part in the middle of a highway.

We doored these adorable periwinkle buildings then took a break to slide down. Little did we know it would turn into a water slide at the end!! You can’t see because my coat is over, but my whole bum is covered in wet sand.
